About Bluffdale
Bluffdale is named for the bluffs and dales along the Jordan River. It sits south and east of Herriman, with Riverton to the north and Draper to the east, and it's one of the few cities in the valley that spans both Salt Lake and Utah counties. Bluffdale incorporated in 1978 and had 17,014 residents at the 2020 census. It keeps more open space and larger lots than most of its neighbors, while newer subdivisions have filled in parts of the city.
